A long standing and highly respected accountancy firm is looking for an Accounts Assistant for their Salisbury office.

As the Accounts Assistant, your duties will be to:
  • Prepare and input client transactions into computerised ledger system.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts for clients.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual VAT returns from financial information supplied by clients. Prepare Intrastat and EC sales lists for clients.
  • Complete other VAT services including registrations, de-registrations, options to tax, etc. as required.
  • Prepare annual financial statements.
  • Occasional visits to client premises to undertake on-site accounting needs as required.

To be a successful Accounts Assistant you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Studying towards AAT/ACCA/ACA or evidence of suitable work experience.
  • Prior experience of computerised accounting packages including cloud-based software in either education or work life.
  • Results-orientated to meet and exceed client expectations, with a key focus on delivering high quality work that consistently meets internal and/or external client deadlines.
  • Professional attitude and a genuine ambition to start/continue a career within a brilliant accountancy firm.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is vital.

In return, the Accounts Assistant will receive a salary of £18,000 - £24,000 per annum depending on experience.
