Position overview:

The Financial Director lead the Finance team in UK; the main duty is to plan utilizing the company's financial resources in order to achieve the business short, medium and long-term financial objectives to develop and implement budget, cost accounting and the general accounting systems to control the insurance banking and fiscal issues.

- ability to manage finances for multiple companies

- strong in analysis and reporting

- cover all finance areas such as payroll, account receivable/payable, inventory management etc

- autonomous as the line manager is in Dubai

- require management experience of people (4 Direct reports) and department manager

- lead a finance department for 5 years working knowledge of IFRS - not just theory

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring that all Finance Division daily work and its part of the company's strategic plans are fulfilled.

2. To provide leadership and support to the finance team and the company on all financial aspects, and to ensure implementation of strategies and operational plan.

3. Manage the finance team in an effective manner to accomplish the department goals and objectives and expectations of all our stakeholders.

4. Develop people by encouraging individuals to be self-motivated and take responsibility for their contributions to the team.

5. Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback training. Actively mentor and coach team members to their highest potential.

6. Communicate effectively and manage successful working relationships with other departments, Suppliers, customers and partners.

7. Reporting Responsible for all financial, accounting, banking and fiscal management aspects.

8. Close supervision of all day to day and periodic Finance related process and reconciliations such as AR, AP, inventory, cash and bank and Payroll.

9. Administer payroll, employee final settlements and other benefits.

10. Ensure accurate and smooth month end closing and reporting within the agreed timetable.

11. Supervise the preparation of the weekly cash flow and monthly cost allocation sheets.

12. Assist the CEO and other Directors in preparing the annual budgets and forecasts.

13. Implement the approved annual budget (and any variations) and post to the system.

14. Monitor, analyze and report monthly operating results against budget.

15. Monthly performance review of all contracts against budget.

16. Analyze actual and report variance to senior management.

17. Participate in planning the objectives, methods and resources of financial operations Control and Compliance.

18. Examine financial records and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control.

19. Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, accounting standards and local laws and regulations related to Finance.

20. Act as first point of contact for internal and external audits.

21. Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance existing processes and accommodate business change.

22. Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments

23. Helps the management to set the prices of product according to the cost of product & to achieve their target profit efficiently


Educations: Bachelor degree in Finance and accounting; Master degree is a plus. CA/CMA/ CPA

• Experience: Minimum 7 years in managing Finance department 3-4 years of Finance Director

Knowledge and skills:

• Sound accounting knowledge of IFRS and IAS

• Excellent computer skills

• Good interpersonal skills

• Ability to lead teams effectively and distribute projects among departments

• Ability to manage large multiple teams
