Industry Services Programme Manager

Location: London, N1 6AH

Salary Range: £35K - £40K

GamCare is the national provider of support and treatment to those affected by gambling related harm. We offer our services to those who are affected and utilise the knowledge and experience we have gained from our work to raise awareness and drive better understanding of the harmful impacts of gambling throughout society, including with the gambling industry.

GamCare are now seeking to recruit a highly motivated and dynamic Programme Manager for an exciting opportunity to join its Industry Services Team. The post holder will lead on the development, delivery and oversight of programmes to support GamCare’s safer gambling products including its new Safer Gambling Standard Accreditation – a quality mark for gambling operators.

This service, in addition to GamCare’s training services is an important vehicle through which we shape the future of safer gambling activities in the UK gambling industry and drive a culture of safer gambling within and between gambling operators.

The main area of activity for the new Programme Manager will be the development, delivery and oversight of a new website for the Safer Gambling Standard accreditation.

In particular, the job holder will be required to

  • Procure, develop and maintain a new website for the Safer Gambling Standard and
  • assist the Industry Services Team to undertake assessments of remote and land-based gambling operators against the requirements of the Safer Gambling Standard

With experience of managing projects and programmes, and compliance assessment /assurance work, you will have an understanding of and interest in the gambling industry and a passion for making it safer.

You will be skilled in establishing relationships with management and staff in a range of organisations, such as gambling operators, trade bodies and regulators and have excellent written communication skills with experience of writing copy for websites and drafting detailed reports.

You will have commitment and enthusiasm to develop & deliver tools and services to inform consumer protection and minimise risk of gambling related harm.

You will demonstrate GamCare’s values in your work, acting in the interest of our beneficiaries – those affected by problem gambling – to drive safer products and environments to make a gambling sector that is safer for everyone.

You must be prepared to work to a flexible schedule, available to travel throughout the UK and internationally as required.
