An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Accounts Assistant to join the Finance Team of a large PLC based in Ipswich, Suffolk. The company prides itself in recruiting and retaining high calibre staff to achieve the company’s objectives and supports staff development and training.

We are seeking an experienced Part or Fully AAT qualified candidate (but not essential) with a desire to study and progress in their professional career. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will need to be flexible, willing to multi-task, and must be able to work under your own initiative.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience within a similar role – Purchase Ledger/ Sales Ledger / Bank reconciliation

• Sage 200 , Excel and Word

• Attention to detail

• Good communication skills

• AAT Qualified (Or part / Studying)

Daily Duties

• Assistance with preparation of the Profit and Loss account

• Month end client invoicing

• Bank reconciliation, including foreign currency accounts

• Credit Control

• Calculation and posting of prepayments and accruals

• Preparing and posting journals

The Benefits:

• Salary: Negotiable

• Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5.30 with one hour for lunch
