Becoming a Solution Architect with Pay360:
The successful candidate will join an existing & experienced team working in several locations across the UK and with several offshore teams, so a willingness to travel between offices & internationally will be required to get the best from this role. You will work closely with the product team and the development team, along with the CTO and other business stakeholders. You will be responsible for laying out the technical and architectural approach to be taken for projects and guiding the development teams as these designs are realised.
The role of the Solution Architect is to provide technical leadership in accordance with best practice and defined organisational policies and procedures to ensure that the solutions delivered by Pay360 are effective, efficient, reliable and meet all their objectives.
What you will do:
Investigating the feasibility of various technologies reviewing development, operational & commercial considerations.
Assessing third party solutions for suitability for off-the-shelf use
Leading the design of platform and services for projects in line with the agreed design approach established for the business.
Providing proof of concept demonstrations of proposed technical approaches
Participating in wider company forums discussing architecture direction and reviewing new technologies
Joining development sprint team planning and refinement sessions to provide guidance on implementation of designs
Your experience will include:
- Proven background as a technical lead or solution architect
- Knowledge of both Unix/Linux and Microsoft based software stacks
- Experience of working in an Agile environment (SCRUM)
- Java & .Net experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of cloud and on-premise architecture approaches
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals
- Knowledge of application security and techniques for Authentication/Authorization/Auditing (AAA)
- Experience with technical design modelling methods
- Payment industry experience
- Good knowledge of PCI DSS & GDPR
- Experience with TFS/VSTS/Azure DevOps
