This company is a growing technology business that works within the Distribution, Construction and Field Service sectors. Their mobile app is linked to a rich web application which creates massive business improvements and efficiencies for a growing list of organisations across the UK and beyond.

The firm is in the process of transferring their infrastructure platform to AWS and are currently looking for several enthusiastic DevOps Engineers at mid and senior levels to join their growing Operations team. The position will be based at their South Gyle office to the West of Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities

- Liaising closely with the development and operation teams to assist and consult on design and ongoing development.
- Ensuring that development environments are available and stable for use and the tooling provides the requisite support to the team and wider programme of work.
- Sharing of personal knowledge of your expert area
- Evaluate, Plan, integrate and manage cloud infrastructure
- develop and design new process / procedure for wider business users

Key Skills and Experience:

- Knowledge and experience with Cloud Platforms - AWS Certified preferred but not required.
- Excellent knowledge of the Linux CLI
- Experience with automation tools and containerisation
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Familiarity with administrating relational databases (MariaDB, MySQL, Postgres)
- Experience of writing languages other than PHP (Python, Go, Perl, etc)
- Experience with diagnosing performance issues in production with APM tools such as New Relic
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills
