Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant required for immediate start at a medium-sized primary school in Newham, East London. The role involves working with an autistic boy.

The primary school is located in the London borough of Newham and provides an excellent level of education for the children. The provision for Special Educational Needs children is especially good and is led by an inspirational and long-standing Inclusion Manager. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will benefit from a vibrant inner-London teaching environment and fantastic transport links straight to the door of the school!

We are looking for a knowledgeable SEN teaching assistant with previous experience working with Early Years or Key Stage 1 children with Special Educational Needs within a nursery or primary school setting. You should be an enthusiastic and pro-active individual who enjoys working as part of a team. Additional qualifications or training in SEN is a bonus, such as Makaton, PECs or Elklan. The role will suit an innovative SEN Teaching Assistant who can immediately hit the ground running and bring lots of good ideas about helping the boy to progress in his learning.
