Junior Project Manager, Software Projects
Junior Project Manager or strong Project Coordinator to join a rapidly expanding ERP software consultancy near Mansfield and Nottingham. They are winning larger and larger deals and the complexity of their projects are rising. So they recently hired 2 additional Senior Project Managers, and now need a more junior level Project Manager to work with them. There is flexibility here and you can work from home a few days each week if you prefer, but need to be in the office for 1 to 2 days a week, particularly in the early stages of joining. This Junior Project Manager role is with a software consulting company who specialise in a top 10 ERP & CRM software solution delivered in the cloud. A lot of their clients are still quite small and they need someone to help them through the software implementation process, so this PM role is separate from the Functional Consultants and is working with clients through their implementation process. This means you will often be doing the routine stuff like chasing up for information, times, and meetings but you will also be managing the whole ERP project lifecycle for the smaller clients.
A good example is a company in Leicester who have bought their ERP solution - there is an MD and 3 Directors along with 30 people in the company. The directors have decided they are going to do everything themselves, but they won't have the time and it will get put back. So as the PM you will be talking to them each individually about what they need to do, what decisions they need to make, and pushing things along. You need to be quite forceful and determined in this role but also empathetic, diplomatic and considerate.
