Michael Page Finance are pleased to be working with a National Charity to appoint a Regional Finance Manager in to their finance team. This position will be based in Bristol but will be subject to some travel across the South West region, as well as intermittent trips to London.

Michael Page Finance are pleased to be working with a National Charity to appoint a Regional Finance Manager in to their finance team. This position will be based in Bristol but will be subject to some travel across the South West region, as well as intermittent trips to London.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Regional Finance Manager, include, but are not limited to:

To be the primary contact for financial support and advice within the Region to assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.


To maintain a close oversight of all financial transactions within the Region, including income, purchase invoices,
business expenses, raising and following up any and all unusual transactions with line management.


To assist the HQ Finance team with the processing of transactions arising in the Region as required.

To ensure that all of the organisations assets recorded in the Fixed Asset Register for the Region are properly
maintained and safeguarded.

To work with the line manager and other Finance Managers to improve economy and efficiency across the organisation,
through process review and redesign, and purchasing and expenses review.


To maintain an oversight of the Region's accounts and to provide financial support and advice to regional officers as necessary.

To ensure that the database of unit charity accounts is kept up to date, and to provide financial support and advice to unit treasurers as necessary.

To undertake and assist the line manager with ad hoc financial and other projects as they arise.

To perform other work from time to time as may reasonably be required by the line manager and the Director of Finance.

Profile

  • Qualified Accountant or QBE with at least 5 years experience working in a finance function.
  • Management of financial transactions, budgets, forecasts, management accounts. Financial reporting, and preparation of annual report and accounts.
  • Some experience of working within the charitable, voluntary or not for profit sector, especially relating to committees, governance or financial procedures.
  • Project planning and delivery, including monitoring and evaluation, and working to targets.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Contributing to and delivering business, growth and development plans.
  • Experience of working with volunteers.
  • Communicating effectively with both employees and volunteers.

Job Offer
