Our well-established client is looking for an Ecommerce Manager to join their team. The role will involve working closely with business wide stakeholders to ensure world class digital experience. The manager will be responsible for the continual improvement of the digital channel by maximising traffic, search engine optimisation, conversion rate optimisation and retention across all platforms and device types. In addition, the Manager will be responsible for customer journey across our digital channel.

Responsibilities

  • Implement programmes that drive sales and improve the customer journey
  • Improving KPI's by optimising SEO and CRO
  • Utilising website analytics to understand how customers are engaging with the digital channel
  • Assembling analytics data and make recommendations for weekly and monthly e-commerce reports
  • Evaluating the planning and optimisation of online products and services
  • Developing a customer segmentation and targeting programme in consultation with the business stakeholders
  • Managing the execution and delivery of digital campaigns, including tracking and reporting
  • Implementing web content updates, with expertise in publishing content as HTML, PDFs, text & video
  • Contributing to the planning, review and analysis of the digital strategy
  • Contributing to the development, monitoring and maintenance of the all brand's social media presence as part of the overall digital strategy
  • Day to day management of the web development agency
  • Grow new and existing online channels in consultation with business stakeholder
  • Evaluate and rapidly react to online competitor's merchandising and marketing initiatives
  • Manage the company's online advertising budget to ensure a strong return on investment and continuous visibility in search results
  • Work with the technical team to derive new and innovative ways of shopping and online engagement with customers

Essential Skills

  • Excellent copy writing skills
  • Ecommerce experience in a consumer retail environment or a similar fast paced, high volume competitive sector
  • Experience of managing an online store using an Ecommerce platform - Hybris or equivalent
  • Experience working with HTML
  • An understanding of web analytics, customer databases and CRM
  • Experience of driving SEO, CRO as well as PPC
  • Experience of creative writing allowing complex product information to be distilled into readable and effective copy
  • An understanding of social media platforms
  • Able to research and interpret data from multiple sources
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
