Salary £23,626 - £39,409 per annum, based on a salary assessment and relevant experience

We are now looking for two ALN Specialist Tutors to join our team at either Deeside or Yale, Wrexham
Within the role, you will perform scheduled teaching, prepare learning materials, mark students work, liaise with awarding bodies and exam invigilation as required. Carrying out screenings for specific learning difficulties and assessments for exam access arrangements, you will provide educational guidance, support and counselling for students and liaise with and give feedback and advice to mainstream staff about ALN support in the classroom.
You will also deliver ALN awareness training for mainstream tutors and support assistants, assist in the recruitment and interviewing of students and complete and produce documentation such as; registers, schemes of work, records of work, course review, course analysis documentation, student reports, absence reports and course files.
So if you hold a teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE or City & Guilds 7407) and a Level 7 qualification in Assessment for Access Arrangements (AAA), then we would love to hear from you!
Creative, innovative and imaginative, you will have proven experience in the delivery of specialist tutorials (1:1 and small group sessions) along with experience of assessing for exam access arrangements. With an awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching, you will be able to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques and recognise and make students aware of their strengths and development needs.
You'll need to be self-confident and display energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment. You'll be open and responsive to the needs of others and be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and new ideas. You'll need to be a strong team player who can establish effective working relationships, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to identify, interpret and apply specific knowledge to practice.
A current SASC practicing certificate would be a distinct advantage, as would the ability to conduct full DSA assessments.
