Due to recent growth they are looking for an experienced Financial Planning Technician.
They are not looking for someone wanting to progress to an adviser role as they already have sufficient numbers.
They are looking for a truly technical person who is happy to be in a role that supports the client and adviser – but who will have considerable client contact.
My Client are looking for a Financial Planning Technician with a minimum of 1 years' experience in similar role to provide support. Information, recommendations and financial analysis to the Financial Planners in order to provide clients with excellent service and outcomes.
You will need to identify and discuss areas of planning with the adviser.
Act as a point of contact and deal effectively with client queries.
Undertake relevant research to identify suitable solutions to meet a client's specific objectives.
Prepare relevant documentation and comparisons for review.
Prepare draft suitability letters to be discussed and signed.
Complete applications or proposal forms (in conjunction with admin team).
Ensure to make changes to clients investment portfolio are made accurately and promptly if required.
Responsible for the accuracy of the information on which client recommendations are made.
Prepare existing client files for review.
If appropriate attend client meeting with advisers.
Ensure any updates and reports are issued to clients in a timely manner.
Review client investment portfolio etc at the appropriate time.
Provide technical and research support to the Financial Planners in respect of our clients, as required.
Ensure all dealings with clients are carried out in a professional, prompt, accurate and courteous manner.
Maintain a detailed knowledge of and understanding of the firms compliance procedures.
Comply with our internal rules and processes and notify a senior person immediately if there is any breach.
Maintain an understanding of how advice is given to clients in a compliant manner.
Comply with Financial Services Act 2012. The FCA Statements of Principles and Code of Practice and the relevant Financial Conduct Authority Rules at all times.
Comply with relevant compliance, TCF, T&C and financial crime procedures of the firm at all times.
Understand additional compliance requirements for particular external individuals.
Follow appropriate ethical standards within the firm at all times.
Provide ‘4 eyes' review support to colleagues.
Maintain the technical knowledge required for the role, having attained diploma level
Polite, pro-active, excellent manner, relational, attention to detail and team player.
Competent user of MS Office applications.
Excellent organisational and planning skills with ability to prioritise workload effectively, and work to deadlines.
Experienced Financial Services Technician
Build deep and meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Always be mindful of ways to improve the client experience and our internal processes.
Competent user of in-house rebalance software.
Be able to use the necessary tools to deliver your work. Including but not limited to Cash flow, Wealth Plan Update and Rebalancer processes/systems.
Diploma level qualification technician required.
You would then need to work towards Chartered and the Certified Financial Planner qualification.
Maintain sufficient CPD records in alignment with the firms Training and Competence plan.
Keep up to date with issues concerning all relevant products including legislative and technical changes.
Keep up to date with changes to our Investment Methodology.
Undertake appropriate and detailed product and market research as required.
Collate all the quantitative information required to support any recommendations to be made.
