We now have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join us at our state of the art Runcorn EfW Site. The Electrical Engineer Role: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for all electrical engineering and maintenance, with some aspects of mechanical engineering, at the Runcorn Energy from Waste Plant. You will work in co-operation with the Mechanical and C & I Engineer to coordinate, schedule and plan maintenance activities during planned or unplanned shutdowns The Electrical Engineer goal is to ensure optimal long-term availability of the plant, preserving the value of the assets and complying with environmental health and safety requirements. You'll also ensure financial targets are met within the electrical department. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for efficient planning and execution of maintenance activities within the Runcorn EfW plant, including the workshops management. You'll participate in continual personal development within the organisation to achieve improved performance, promote flexible team working by creating an environment which will enable the team to identify issues and create innovative solutions. The ideal Electrical Engineer: Previous Electrical Maintenance experience within a Manufacturing or industrial plant is essential. You'll have knowledge of repair methods of electrical machinery and equipment, plus an understanding of safe systems of work and Preventative Maintenance Systems. You'll have an appropriate Engineering qualification such as ONC / HNC and hold a position of Senior Authorised Person (SAP) and be qualified to work on both LV and HV electrical systems. The post holder will have excellent communication skills with the ability to think logically and solve problems effectively. This position will require response to plant and equipment breakdowns both during normal working hours and outside of normal working hours to ensure that vital work is achieved timely and accurately.
