Job Role - Allocator - Hemel Hempstead
Expanding high street retailer, selling greeting cards, gifts, gift packaging, accessories and partyware.
Working closely with the Buying, Operations and Distribution Departments, you will provide administrative and analytical support, as well as ensuring the smooth flow of stock across the business and into the stores.
Reporting to the Buyer and working closely with other members of the Operations
Team you will be central to the success the growth of this business.
Role and Responsibilities
Work closely with all departments in planning and maintaining optimum stock levels.
Running weekly reports such as the merchandise report and bestsellers.
Seasonal allocation of new SKU’s and daily/weekly replenishment to stores.
Analysing, allocating and managing stock levels throughout the week.
Daily communication with stores and the warehouse.
Liaising with buying regarding various issues such as delivery dates and style.
Actioning any price or product code changes.
Good organisational and administrative skills.
Good communication skills, written and verbal.
Able to prioritise efficiently and work to critical deadlines.
Highly organised - with ability to multi-task and prioritise.
Previous retail experience an advantage.
Stock requests and queries from stores on a daily basis
Action transfers, analyse what stores need what, create spreadsheets, email the stores
Gathering feedback and trading patterns from stores
Daily communication with the warehouse regarding the pick schedule, delivery issues and replenishment
Set up the allocation plan for the season and update when necessary
Set up a spreadsheets and update accordingly
Checking what is due in and what is outstanding
No experience required but some retail knowledge and experience is preferred
Excel - Intermediate Level
