This exceptional secondary school is leading the way for school-led teacher training in North London. Inclusive school-based training via their School Direct Programme means they can develop graduates into outstanding teachers of the future to ensure the very best outcomes for children.
The alliance was founded by a group of schools in London to support schools to be the best that they can be, to learn from each other and share best practice. This Teaching School is founded on a belief that high-quality teaching and learning can overcome disadvantage and promote high standards in even the most challenging of schools. The Teaching School has been developed to promote high standards in all schools whether they be Primary, Secondary or Special Schools.
What are they looking for?
The school is looking for candidates who have a passion for teaching, someone who enjoys a challenge and who puts children and their needs first. They are interviewing now to start training from September 2019 until July 2020, and` would be very interested to hear from you if you are thinking of becoming a teacher.
School Direct programmes are so successful because they immerse you into life in a Primary or Secondary School. You will become part of the staff team, observing, supporting and team teaching alongside highly skilled practitioners. You experience first-hand the wider professional responsibilities of a teacher as you become involved in after school clubs, CPD events and a range of whole school events. Alongside this you will receive 1 day per week of high-quality training around pedagogy and practice delivered by practising teachers.
So if you feel you have what it takes and have a real desire to become a qualified teacher, don't hesitate and send your CV and cover letter to Ryan at Empowering Learning.
