So what will I be doing?

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be joining the Central Finance team and playing a key role to help provide high quality analysis and insights to achieve our strategic priorities.

Working closely with your direct reports, you will also be responsible for producing high quality, timely and consistent consolidated management information to the senior leadership team, to enable informed business decisions and continued business improvements.

Key responsibilities will include:

To deputise for the financial controller, acting as a primary point of contact within the team and across the business for the escalation of queries and to represent the voice of finance as appropriate.

To own the roadmap for the record to report process, identifying and delivering on improvements in processing, reporting and control.

To act as primary contact during the external audit, managing information requests and liaising with the audit team as required.

To produce high quality and timely balance sheet and cash flow information on a weekly and monthly basis as required, with appropriate commentary to analyse performance and identify opportunities for focus.

To continue to develop and strengthen our cash flow modelling, including the daily cash forecast and the balance sheet / cash flow forecasting model to ensure robust and accurate forecasting and budgeting across the group.

To assume overall responsibility of balance sheet control, maintaining the balance sheet control workbook ensuring every account is reconciled and reviewed and developing governance and controls across the balance sheet.

Sounds interesting, what do I need?

Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
Strong analytical & technical accounting skills
A demonstrable keen eye for detail
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Up to date knowledge of technical accounting issues
Advanced excel skills
Experience of Managing a team
Pro-active self-starter
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience of working in manufacturing is desirable
Previous experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics AX is also desirable
