Are you looking for a rewarding position supporting students with special educational needs?

Do you have experience working as youth worker/support worker/behaviour mentor?

If so, this role is for you!

An 'good' secondary PRU school supporting students with special educational needs in Manchester are currently seeking to recruit a teaching assistant with experience supporting students with challenging behaviour. The school are looking for individuals who are proactive, engaging and can support students using their own initiative.

Your role:

  • Supporting Autistic pupils and challenging behaviour pupils on a 1:1 basis
  • Assist classroom teachers in group activities
  • Manage behaviour disruptions in the classroom
  • Report to the class Teacher/SENCO with any safeguarding issues

About the school:

The school is a few minute's walk from central tram and band is easily accessible by local bus routes. Large central hubs across the Manchester area. Pupils on role both full time and part time.

Supporting students with special educational needs is a very rewarding position as you can provide positive enforcement on students learning. As a teaching assistant you will be building rapport with students with autism and help them manage their behaviour effectively.
