SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to work in a Specialist Primary School in Salford. You will be supporting pupils both on a one to one basis and in small groups with subjects across the curriculum. The pupils at this school have various learning difficulties, including autism spectrum conditions (ASC), severe learning difficulties (SLD), multiple learning difficulties (MLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Several of the pupils have additional needs that need to be attended to and you may be required to aid with these (e.g. feeding, administering medication).
The school has access to many great facilities and professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists to name a few. The school's facilities include a hydrotherapy pool, a sensory studio and soft playrooms.

The responsibilities of the role include:
*Working with pupils one-on-one to help them with their learning

*Supporting the teacher with any work that needs doing

*A DBS on the update service
*Experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs
*A dedication to helping pupils to achieve their full potential

The successful candidate will be working alongside some fantastic pupils and a supportive staff team. The staff members at the school are very experienced and highly trained to be able to deliver the best education and support to the pupils as possible.
