Head of School of Business - Ref 190381R

Salary: Up to £48,500 p.a.

We are seeking an outstanding teacher and leader to join our high-performing College Management Team as Head of School for Business. The successful candidate will have a proven track record as an outstanding classroom practitioner, and will have highly developed interpersonal skills to influence others and continually make improvements.

The School of Business is a large and extremely successful school, with outcomes consistently well above national benchmarks, and high levels of student satisfaction. The School of Business provides a very comprehensive range of high quality learning opportunities across all of the College's programmes; it offers provision from Levels 1-5. There are A Levels in Accounting, Business and Economics; Level 2 and 3 BTEC Vocational Business courses; a Foundation degree and HNC in Business; and a range of Adult courses and Apprenticeships. In total, over 1500 students study a Business course at Runshaw.

The teaching team in the School of Business includes 22 teachers across all of the Programmes, 1 of whom is an Advanced Lecturer and 4 apprenticeship assessors. Each course has its own highly effective and productive Continuous Improvement Team with excellent, highly experienced course leaders.

Students benefit from Academy activities as part of the wider college Horizons Programme, as well as a broad experience of work related activities. The department continually develops strong links with local employers across all courses. Employability skills, along with high grades, success and achievement, are great strengths of the school, with a wide and varied programme of enrichment and enhancement for all courses on all programmes.
