Social Media Executive
Brand new role with a distributor of health and beauty products for a Social Media Executive.
As this Social Media Executive role is a brand new position, this is a unique opportunity to be able to drive social media from the outset. Initially, the client, which is a leading health and beauty distributor, is looking to focus on organic social media, so they really do need someone who can come in with lots of ideas which aren't going to blow the budget! Obviously, as time goes on and you can demonstrate the ROI for social media there will be opportunities to look at paid for search. Eventually, they're hoping that they will be in a position to develop their own YouTube channel with 'how to' guides and short videos, so having experience of these areas would be very useful. You will act as the brand guardian for social media across all national outlets, providing direction and reassurance to managers who are not experts in social media. As a distributor, our client sells directly to trade and this isn't a consumer-facing role. You will also work initially with an external agency.
What we're looking for
We're looking for candidates with at least 12 months experience within a commercial social media role. You'll need to demonstrate your prowess for increasing connectivity via organic search and will ideally have some experience within the health and beauty sector. You'll understand blogger outreach and the importance of SEO and you'll appreciate the importance of social media as part of the wider marketing toolkit. You're going to need to be a self-starter and to be able to manage your own workload as you will be the go-to person for all things social.
