- DevOps Engineer - Glasgow - Up to £50k DOE Sanderson's market leading Fintech client has a requirement for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join their Glasgow team on a permanent basis, at an exciting time in their evolution. You will play a pivotal role in growing and developing internal platforms and applications and have a hand in shaping product direction in an environment that encourages innovation and experimentation. You will own the strategy and development of their cloud-based infrastructure (AWS) and will also provide advice and recommendations around technologies and tooling. Utilising strong communication and people skills, whilst engaging with stakeholders, you will have the correct blend of the following: Role Objectives; Establish DevOps capability, making it part of how they design and deliver products to market. Embed a DevOps culture into the development team; setting policy & direction. Mentor / develop the team around DevOps best practice. Own the build and deployment, as well as the running of their AWS infrastructure. Drive the use of automation tools for CI / CD eg. Jenkins. Responsibility for the end-to-end Cloud infrastructure and how it will be delivered cost-effectively. Work closely with software architects, cyber security and other relevant technical teams. Manage and support databases in AWS and Azure SQL Server. Build strong relationships with third-party partners / clients. Skills and Experience Required; Certified AWS Developer / Solutions Architect (advantageous). You will have worked with some or all of Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, TeamCity or other equivalent DevOps tooling. Azure experience / knowledge advantageous. Experience setting up / deploying continuous delivery frameworks. Exposure to / Understanding of containerisation systems, such as Docker. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills engaging across all levels of the business. Positive & creative and will show willingness to own the role to support business growth.
