Position Description

SLD Pumps and Power, a trading division within Carrier Rental Systems, is seeking to recruit a Service Engineer for the Sheffield Depot. SLD Pumps and Power Division are a leading provider of a range of specialist pump rental products, to a variety of industries and clients. We are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer to work out of our Sheffield depot and cover the Yorkshire / Nottinghamshire area. The role will involve maintaining and servicing plant equipment, specifically pumps and generators, ensuring all returned equipment is ready for re-hire. Servicing on-site equipment for a range of clients, ensuring all Health and Safety Procedures are consistently met. You will be required to respond to client call-outs, working on a 24 hour on-call service rota. A high level of customer service is required as SLD operate strict Service Level Agreements across all of our clients, meaning all call-outs and issues with machinery need to be dealt with promptly and professionally. The ability to assess and report any product issues independently is also essential.

Required Experience

To be considered for the Service Engineer vacancy the successful individual will have to have a solid amount of experience within a Service Engineer / Diesel Fitter (Mechanical Engineering) role, preferably working with pumps and generators. Whilst not essential it would be advantageous to have worked within the field, amongst different sites/customers. Candidates will also need to be confident and professional, consistently communicating a positive customer/client experience and will hold a Full UK Driving License.

You will be paid on an hourly rate and will boost your earnings through overtime/call-outs.
