Exciting Psychology Teacher opportunity in a beautiful College, Permanent vacancy for September 2019 MPS/UPS

This position is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding and inspirational Psychology teacher to join a very high performing College in a beautiful city in Hampshire.
The Psychology Department is part of the Sport & Social Science Faculty with up to date and modern facilities. The post will involve teaching Psychology at A level and as a large number of students follow A Level Psychology, achievements have been consistently strong and the department secured grade 1 in Ofsted inspections.

The A Level results for 2018 were exceptionally high and above national average and outperformed other schools & Colleges across the area of Hampshire.

The person appointed to this post must be an experienced Teacher of Psychology at A level, ideally with a degree in your specialist subject and this role would welcome an NQT,
Included in this role he or she would also be a Personal Tutor.

In addition, candidates should possess the following characteristics:
· an ability to enthusiastically transfer knowledge, understanding and skills of Psychology to students;
· an ability to be an effective Personal Tutor, giving students pastoral guidance and support;
· be an enthusiastic participant in curriculum development;
· be committed to proactive subject-specific student support
· an effective communicator and leader.

Psychology is a thriving department, with over 700 students studying the subject at A level. There are currently twelve teaching staff, both full and part time, delivering the AQA specification
