A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Radiology Manager to provide leadership, strategic direction and general management of the Diagnostic Imaging Department across three Hospital sites to include 3 sites – The Parkside Hospital, Cancer Centre London & Parkside Outpatients.

The Parkside Hospital, part of Aspen Healthcare, is a well-established leading private hospital with a dedicated oncology facility – Cancer Centre London. Easily accessible from Central London and the Home Counties located opposite Wimbledon Common, providing first class independent healthcare across many surgical specialties. The Job:
• To provide leadership, strategic direction and general management of the Diagnostic Imaging Department across three sites, ensuring a high quality, responsive, patient focused service that meets the needs of all customers and the business
• Maximise opportunities to develop the Diagnostic Imaging business, increasing operational efficiency to achieve optimum utilisation of assets in line with, and in support of, the Hospital Business Plan
• As a member of the Head of Department (HoDs) team, contribute to the strategic, operational and business development of the radiology department.
• Provide visible leadership and direction and strong levels of clinical engagement
• Encourage and maintain an open and participative culture, fostering a supportive environment for staff and Consultants; developing a cohesive team across three sites
• Manage and motivate the operational team by promoting an open learning environment and encouraging acceptance to change for the sake of improvement and best practice
• Develop and maintain an effective communication plan to ensure that staff are engaged with the vision for the Diagnostic Imaging department, the hospital and Aspen Healthcare group
• Manage direct reports effectively, delegating appropriately and holding them accountable for the delivery of specific objectives and targets
• Maximise the performance and potential of direct reports through regular performance coaching and review, reflective practice and ensuring they meet the required standards in their current job and develop their skills and knowledge
• Build a pipeline of talent and succession planning that will sustain the performance of all imaging services in the future
• Work closely with members of the HoD and hospital Senior Management Team to deliver the successful implementation of key initiatives within the hospital and deliver the hospital clinical, commercial and operational targets

The successful candidate:
• BSc degree in diagnostic radiography or diagnostic imaging or equivalent qualification to meet registration requirements.
• Practicing Radiographer for a minimum of 7 years and at least 2 years as a Manager.
• Managerial qualification or equivalent.
• Registered with HPC.
• Good financial awareness, including business planning and budgeting.
• Good understanding of PACS / RIS administration.
• Knowledge of Care Quality Commission requirements.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Governance tools.
• Knowledge of Human Resource policies, tools and techniques, including interviewing, conducting performance reviews and performance coaching.
• Experience in service development and business development of imaging and radiology services.
