We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our People team in London. You will be responsible for supporting the month end close and quarterly planning processes, business partnering with Payroll and Rewards, and assisting in ad-hoc requests and projects within the team. This role will report into the Senior Finance Manager.
Your role within our Kingdom
The Accountant will work on varied tasks across these areas and more, often interacting with other functions including Payroll, HR, Rewards, Tax and as well as the wider finance team.A positive and can-do attitude, flexibility, and the ability to get going quickly are essential prerequisites for this exciting role.Support the monthly and quarterly close processes, including variance analysis to forecasts and across prior periods for key People accounts (e.g. Travel & Entertainment, Relocation, Benefits & Taxes, and other People accounts)Posting of monthly journals (incl. accruals and prepayments)Monthly reporting to Group team and Business Leadership, including metrics and variance analysis and P&L / balance sheet commentariesSupport the quarterly Planning and Forecasting cycles, including assumptions analysisContinually seeking opportunities to drive process improvementTimely completion of relevant balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis, including movement analysis and working with the business to clear unreconciled itemsDedicated management of external and internal audit requestsMitigate risks by ensuring all S-Ox requirements and controls are adhered toAssist with special projects as they arise.
Skills to create thrills
Qualified accountant with working experienceStrong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsExperience with manipulating & modelling large amounts of dataExcellent project management, communication, and written skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsEager to learn and expand the roleCan work autonomouslyCan present confidently and concisely to senior managementPrior experience working with Oracle R12 and Hyperion advantageous
