HR Business PartnerLocationUK-Eton/WindsorOverviewThe HR Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. ResponsibilitiesThe duties assigned include, but are not limited to:Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.Consults with line management, providing HR guidance and interpretation when appropriate.Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of employee relation issues.Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and legislation related to day-to-day management of employees and employee relations issues, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, advises and coaches managers on this when required. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).Leads performance, conduct and disciplinary meetings and leads HR projects.Creates and delivers HR training as necessary.Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.Coaching and supporting managers to deliver business plans and drive performance and capability improvement within their teams, including the creation of Performance Improvement Plans.Works closely and on a regular basis with local management and regional HR colleagues to identify employee learning and development skill needs and makes proposals for training courses. Follows up with management to assess training ROI.Works with management in the creating and implementation of organisation design, team effectiveness strategies, change management programmes and integrated people solutions that address key business needs.Participates in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, workforce planning, and organizational change).Assists senior management in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-oriented perspectives.Supports management with talent management and succession planning activities.Initiates UK policy and procedure updates.HR representation in the Information Governance Committee meetings (ISO Certifications).HR representative in the UK Business Continuity Team.Proactively supporting the delivery of HR processes within area of responsibility.Continuous improvement and development of processes, i.e. probations and onboarding.Uses problem solving skills to come up with process improvements i.e. understanding root cause of why managers are not entering comments in the appraisal (time poor, avoidance of difficult conversation) and proposing enhancements to the current appraisal training to address these issues. Provide flexible coverage to other HR team members when required.QualificationsMinimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience resolving complex employee relations issues. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management and federal and state respective employment laws. Education and TrainingKey skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem solving.Extensive skill and experience in creating and delivering presentations on a variety of subjects.
