CNC Setter / Operator - Spider is currently advertising on behalf of an award-winning family business, designing and handcrafting luxury lighting and products for the home from our Suffolk workshops, based in Hadleigh, Suffolk. Currently looking for a CNC Setter / Operator to join their busy machine shop team in their small friendly, family run business. As the CNC Setter / Operator your duties will include: Set and operate Fanuc Controls Carrying out first off inspections using hand held gauges, micrometres and verniers Creating programs directly on the machine, working from engineering drawings Liaise with the Team Leader on drawings and job cards Set existing products on CNC machines, setting of tools and fixtures and making required adjustments to offsets Change tools, tips and reset datums to suit Skills and Attributes include: Previous experience of working within a fast-paced manufacturing facility is essential Experience of setting and operating Fanuc/HAAS controlled CNC lathes is essential Previous experience in the setting and operating of CNC Milling/Turning machinery Ability to upload and edit programs is essential and an ability to write a programme is desirable Knowledge of Fanuc controls Strong communication skills and the ability to work using your own initiative This is a full-time position, offering a salary of £19,760 to £26,000 per annum, depending on experience.
