Supply Chain Manager
B/E Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of Collins Aerospace, is a leading manufacturer of aircraft interior products and we currently have some exciting positions based at our Leighton Buzzard facility, including a Supply Chain Manager. Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Manager is required to lead the Supply Chain team to maintain a supply chain of over 90 global suppliers.Key responsibilities include – Manage and develop a team of managers, supervisors, sourcing buyers, tactical buyers, analysts, logistics personnel, enablement specialists delivering effective performance managementMentor, coach and provide training initiatives to support the Philippines based supply chain teamDevelop and maintain a supply base which ensures customer expectations are metDevelop and execute a robust run at rate readiness review process with the supply baseGenerate a strong focus within the team on Supplier relationships and delivery of objectivesDevelop and execute performance, product data management and costing strategies that deliver quality, delivery, cost and lead time reduction improvementsDevelop and execute robust, efficient and effective documented business processes that support the strategyWork with global Purchasing functions, other sites and all other functions to ensure cost management, quality delivery and strategic advantage is attainedDevelop and execute supply chain strategies that encompass supplier reduction and LCC sourcing that is critical to the long term development of the business modelDevelop and manage existing and potential suppliers including selection, approval, development, maintenance and exit processes of a global supply baseEnforce and maintain appropriate supplier agreements to meet business objectives, monitoring, reporting and managing supply chain performance against SLA’s KPI’s and other business criteriaDevelop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of commodities and cost base to rationalize goods and services to gain maximum leverageIdentify and execute commercial, VA/VE opportunities, working with suppliers to jointly maximize revenuePromote a culture of Operational Excellence, within the team and provide team with toolbox to add value in their daily duties. Achieve agreed saving targets by challenging current cost base, benchmarking and tender activity as appropriateProactively challenge current procurement, data management and costing policies and processes to identify and execute continuous improvement in a controlled manner whilst ensuring conformance to current departmental procedures in all activitiesImplementation of SAP per planTo manage freight in expenditure to agreed target budget and to contribute to ongoing reduction of freight out expenditure through enablement of galleys to planEnsure effective cost management of product through effective governance and subsequent actions in regard to PPV, MOQs and safety stock.Responsible for ensuring monthly inventory intake does not exceed plan. Report out financial impact each month.Responsibility for setting and adhering to department operating costs in agreement with finance.Ensure, drive and report supplier, product data management and cost estimating performance in respect of quality, cost, delivery and lead time performanceTaking appropriate action across the business unit to ensure that professional Purchasing ethics and practices are being maintained and that business objectives are not being compromisedManage customer interface of reporting of materials enablement and supplier rate readiness (SRRM)Support all supply chain responsibilities in regard to customer and regulatory compliance criteria such as EASA, IPCA, ISOSupport daily site alignment calls across multiple time zonesSupport daily Operational WARSupport business requirements on a timely basisThe successful candidate will have the following – CIPS Post Graduate Diploma or equivalentEducated to degree standard or equivalentRelated experience and/or training in Aerospace Materials Management/Supply Chain A good basic knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and reports, proven track record of achievement in a relevant position.Proficient in Microsoft Office package.
