Our client, a leading furniture warranty specialist, is looking to expand their team and recruit an Assistant Furniture Technician on a contract basis.

As an Assistant Furniture Technician you will be required to deal with a flexible workload, assisting with the weekly processing of incoming returned products from various customers for inspection, repair and return.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with off-loading furniture product deliveries made by client vehiclesUnpack furniture products and lay them out in warehouse for grading and assessmentCarry out limited repairs, under supervision where required to (including but not limited to) upholstery, leather furniture, cabinets and beds within agreed time limits and standardsRecord all information required on relevant company documentation, both electronic and written - returning documentation to the Supervisor within specified deadlinesWhere possible, bringing products back up to a grade "A" quality so that the clients can sell the products as nearly newRe-pack and seal repaired items in the relevant packagingExperience & Skills

Minimum of 2 years working experience in a factory/warehouse environmentValid driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points)Able to lift and move a variety of furniture products of varying sizes and weightsBasic knowledge of manufacturing upholstery and re-upholstery techniques is desirable but not essentialPersonal Requirements

Excellent customer service skillsPromote best practice manual handling and health & safetyQuality focused, with great attention to detailPositive attitude to adopting or learning new skills/working practicesAdditional Info:
