Working within the Financial Reporting team, the Directorate Finance Partner will be a proactive, forward-looking, qualified accountant with extensive experience in finance partnering and have strong financial modelling expertise, preferably in a commercial environment. The successful candidate will lead a small Directorate finance team in support of the Directorate’s strategic plan and the broader university agenda, projecting and reporting on business performance and providing financial information for new and existing projects.

Due to frequent changes, new ideas and proposals in the funding environment within the Higher Education sector and working within the university’s own dynamic environment, this role will be pivotal in leading the agile delivery of financial information within agreed timelines.The successful candidate will be a key financial advisor to the Directorates executive’s and senior leadership team, in completing business cases, monthly and year-end accounts, the annual budgeting process and regular forecast updates.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with the ability to quickly build effective relationships in supporting and communicating with executive and senior management the financial position clearly and in a professional manner at all times.
