Vargo has an excellent opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join the finance team of a Welsh Charity in the heart of Cardiff. The aim of the finance team is to provide a value-added service through the production of accurate and timely financial information and effective finance business partnering.


JOB ROLE

·Business Partnering - Meet with budget holders, issue budget holders with final month end numbers

·Settlements - Ensure settlements are processed in accordance with contractual agreement and in line with timescales agreed in Contracts.

·the month of settlement.

·Budgets / Reforecasts - Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts with Financial Accountant, Business Partners and Heads of Departments.

·Project Budgets - Create project budgets with Producer/project manager when needed on new projects and productions.

·Reconciliation to SAGE - Ensure that all production costs and income are included in the management accounts accurately and in a timely manner, by reference to the budget tracker costs & income.

·Production payroll - Process production payroll based upon information received from the Production & Programming Officer.

·Legal & Regulation - Ensure inter-company contractual requirements are in place where appropriate.

·Strategic Projects - Prepare financial information for any strategic projects, and closely monitor income, expenditure and critical success factors / KPIs.

·Month & year end -Ensure any month end duties are performed in a timely manner, and that all year end tasks as assigned to and assist with any audit requirements.

·Provide cover for Finance management during periods of absence, in particular for payroll e.g. holiday/sickness/conferences, etc. and support during busy periods.

·Generic Accountabilities - Finance team – Accountability, Audit - Assist FC, Finance Helpdesk, Continuous Improvement, Review processes and procedures.

·Ad-hoc duties - Other tasks and duties as required.


REQUIREMENTS

·Demonstrable experience of using accounting software and strong computer skills.

·Experience production accounting or working within finance in a theatre or similar organisation.

·At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

·Dealings with all stakeholders and customers, internally and externally, both written and verbal.

·Analytical with the ability to identify trends whilst offering effective problem-solving solutions.

·Experience of business partnering.
