Eden Scott's client is a Home Insurance provider and part of a large UK group which is challenging the established elite in the sector. Currently with over £20M in annual revenues, strong profit margins and solid cash generation the business is set to fly. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be a key member of the Finance function, playing a vital role across the management team and managing a number of key areas across finance. This role is the de facto number two and requires an experienced finance professional. The successful candidate has a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business and develop a high performing finance function that can support and influence the business' broader strategic objectives. In this role you will be responsible for: Team management, overseeing the finance team supporting their objectives and development plans. Finance business partnering the leadership team managing risks and opportunities. Financial Planning, producing budgets, quarterly forecasting and 3 year plans working closely with key business stakeholders and Finance. Cash Management of the working capital requirements and reviewing weekly cash forecasting and analysis. Reviewing financial, management and KPI reporting and providing variance analysis and commentary. Governance & Control and implementing robust financial processes and ensure strong internal controls are in place. Delivery of key external reporting to tight deadlines including production of management accounts and financial covenants on a monthly/quarterly basis. Providing insightful financial analysis through working closely with the Data & Insight team to support business decision making. Build strong relationships across business areas, group functions and third party stakeholders including underwriters and external auditors. The ideal candidate will: Have at least 5 years post qualification experience (ICAS, CIMA or equivalent), ideally in a commercial business environment. Be highly numerate, with a minimum 2.1 university degree from a top tier university, ideally in a numerate discipline. Have experience of managing and developing a small team. Comfortable operating in an environment of high growth and rapid change. Be able to apply analytical skills beyond the traditional functions of finance and bring them to bear on a broad range of commercial issues. Strong Excel financial modelling techniques, and be comfortable building and maintaining financial models. Be comfortable communicating with, and presenting to, senior business leaders. In short you are a robust finance professional with a varied and strong skill-set to offer.
