EHCP Team Leader
We are seeking several experienced and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as an EHCP Team Leader where you will work in partnership to support children and young people to aspire, achieve and enjoy positive outcomes. Having successfully transferred all existing statements of SEN to Education, Health & Care Plans, we are further developing our EHC service to ensure the needs of children & young people with SEND and their parents and carers are placed firmly at the centre of our planning and ; About the EHCP Team Leader role You will join a newly formed, enthusiastic and committed EHC team, which has been brought together from a wide range of experiences to deliver aspirational ways of working. You should have proven experience in leading processes and systems within SEND and be committed to inclusive educational practice. In return as our EHCP Team Leader you will receive: - Flexible working scheme and holiday package - Cycle2work scheme - Technology purchase schemes - Reduced gym membership and many more Our ideal EHCP Team Leader will have the below skills and experience: - Excellent organisational and communications skills with the ability to inspire confidence, influence and motivate people - Educated to degree level / equivalent - Relevant professional qualification - Significant experience of promoting and managing developments with respect to inclusive practice - Experience of working effectively with a range of partners and other agencies - Effective budget management - Experience of cross phase work with a range of internal and external stakeholders - Knowledge and understanding of relevant procedures and inclusion issues - A clear understanding of appropriate funding regimes including statutory allocations - Excellent communication skills including the ability to produce concise and accurate reports and to present information to individuals and groups at all levels in a clear manner - Able to undertake any travel in connection with the post. Serving children and young people with SEND and their parents and carers is at the heart of what we do. Although there are many strengths in the SEND system in Barnsley, we know that there is still lots to do. Our EHC processes have been identified by parents and carers as too often unwieldy and difficult to navigate and we have been rightly challenged by children and young people and their families to do more to place them at the centre of our planning, supporting them as experts by experience to have more say in the planning process and the achievement of outcomes.
