Deputy Manager ( RMN / RNLD ) - Female Locked Rehab Ward - £40,000 p/a + £5,000 welcome bonus

Location: Hook, Hampshire

Salary: £36,000 per annum - negotiable depending on your experience + 20% over time rates

Bonus: £5,000 welcome bonus (full details listed below)

Hours: Full Time hours - 37.5 hours per week - 60% supernumerary and 40% in the staffing numbers

*£5,000 bonus on top of basic salary for all nurses*

Further Details : An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced RMN or RNLD to manage a fantastic team of nurses on an 8 bedded Female Locked Rehab Ward within a Private Psychiatric Hospital, situated near Hook, Hampshire. The Hospital has an excellent recent CQC rating.

You will be required to work either a 60/40 split or 50/50 split, of supernumerary hours / in the staffing numbers. You will be required to ensure that risk is assessed and managed across the working environment. You will act as a role model within the team - promoting a culture of learning development, inquiry and a team vision. You will be required to identify deficits in skill mix and safe staffing levels and you will be required to address these. You will be required to supervise and contribute to CPD, mandatory training and appraisal process. You will undertake lead roles for the ward and will quite often be the named nurse and shift leader, as agreed with the ward manager.

Service Details: This Hospital is a low secure and locked rehabilitation service for males and females with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs). The hospital is split across three wards:
  • Low secure, learning disability (LD)
  • High dependency patients (low secure, LD)
  • Locked rehabilitation, learning disability

The Hospital Manager has been with the company for a substantial amount of time and is highly-qualified in various areas of nursing, so would be keen to invest time into the training and development of all staff. There are also plenty of opportunities to undertake additional training courses externally on top of the extensive in-house training.
