Job Title - Commercial Account Handler
Contract - Permanent
Salary - £24,000 - £35,000
Location - Essex

The Role:-

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Commercial Account Handler to join an established, reputable insurance brokerage. An organisation who have many streams of income allowing a great opportunity to cross sell. You will be supporting an Account Executive.

Duties:-

*Account Management to Existing & New client base
*Provide adequate levels of service/support to all commercial customers
*Monitor, Control and report on own performance in line with targets set
*Administrative duties in line with policy serving duties IE Diary, Processing etc.
*Good attitude to work and effective relationships with colleagues
*Ability to work independently and have sound experience in general commercial lines business
*Good written and verbal communication skills.
*Understand impact of own role on the success of the company. Continually update job knowledge.
*Effective use of company computer systems and basic Microsoft packages.
*Uses sound commercial judgement to make decisions and appreciates when decisions need to be referred to others.
*Punctual and reliable and supports the company by showing a professional image always*Maintaining close contact and promoting good relations with underwriters
*Providing data for management reports when required
*Obtaining and updating knowledge of insurance and business practice through mediums such as reading insurance journals, insurance websites and training programmes
*Attending training courses and seminars

Role Requirements:-

*2 Years minimum experience of Commercial markets essential
*Computer literate;
*Knowledge of sales processes within relevant market;
*Good product and technical knowledge;
*Ability to work in a team/team player;
*Excellent communication, time management, negotiation, presentation and relationship building skills;
*Account management skills.
