One of the biggest players in the World’s Waste Management industry is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join them at their branch based in Maidstone.

Role

Your role will require you to have incredible attention to detail whilst planning, executing and managing projects within the department.

Reporting to the Mechanical Project Manager you will be expected to maintain excellent levels of Health and Safety and Quality. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Understand and implement the company SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) policy
  • Working with the Maintenance team leaders to develop the site Maintenance Management System as well as improve and evaluate Technician’s knowledge and skills
  • Supervising and Liaising with the Maintenance team and contractors, ensuring the effective operation of the plant
  • Plan and execute annual planned outages, ensuring work is completed in a safe manner
You

You will be an enthusiastic, personable and focused individual with a passion for quality, efficiency and safety within the workplace.

You will also be some or all of the following:
  • Degree Qualified in a relevant field (desirable, not essential)
  • Experienced within a relevant field of engineering (e.g. Waste, Energy or other Heavy industry) of at least 3 years.
  • Experienced within Project Management from an engineering perspective
  • Able to work with preventative/predictive maintenance techniques
  • Ability to use Maintenance Management Systems
  • Experience with Steam pressure systems, associated equipment and all forms of NDT (Non-destructive Testing)
