Location: Sayers Common, nr Brighton - Moving to Brighton 6-12 months

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £16-£20K DOE

Friday Media Group is growing fast, and entering a new and exciting stage of development - it's a great time to join us. Our strengths lie in digital services, local classified advertising, niche web marketplaces, e-commerce and recruitment. We are expanding in the UK and internationally, and currently operate from offices in Brighton, Preston, Pembroke, Miami, Bangalore and Barcelona. 52Fridays is a newly launched digital marketing agency specialising in PPC and SEO, operating under the umbrella of Friday Media Group.

The Role

We're looking for a talented, passionate content writer with a strong understanding of search engine optimisation. You will need to be able to think strategically as well as creatively, in order to create and deliver comprehensive content strategies for our clients. Ideally, you will also have experience building and delivering digital PR and outreach campaigns.

Working in an agency environment, you will be a fast learner and able to change direction quickly when working with new clients and markets.

You'll be responsible for:

? Creation and delivery of content; digital PR and outreach strategy for both our clients and our digital marketing agency brand, 52Fridays.

? Ensuring all content (3rd party, internal collaborator etc) is delivered to a high standard in the agency.

? Using training, mentoring and coaching skills to improve the content/digital PR skill-set in the marketing team.

? Ensuring content is posted regularly for each brand, in alignment with defined strategy.

? Creation and delivery of high-value content pieces for 52Fridays clients.

? Ensuring evergreen content is future-proof and follows best practice from a Google Quality Guideline perspective.

? Identifying content opportunities and increasing rankings for relevant keywords to ensure growth.

? Working closely with the wider marketing team to deliver content suitable for our social channels, email campaigns and paid media campaigns.

? Ensuring sites are strong from a content and backlink perspective.

? Helping to produce content audits and if necessary, becoming involved with the commercial side of the business (attending proposals etc).


We are looking for standout, talented individuals with drive and ambition who will stand out from the crowd and really help us grow. We're looking for substantial SEO knowledge, as well as creative abilities and excellent personal skills. Importantly, we are looking for someone with strong moral standing who shares our visions and values.


  • Proven history of working in content creation, preferably for the purpose of SEO.

  • An understanding of on-site, off-site and technical practices, as well as in depth understanding of E-A-T.

  • Basic understanding of Google Algorithms - Panda, Penguin, Quality.

  • Fully proficient in Google Analytics and Search Console.

  • Ability to liaise with directly developers, as well as non-technical staff.

  • Ability to distinguish good quality backlinks, from toxic.

  • Professional, confident and friendly manner.

  • Exemplary organisational skills.

  • Absolutely excellent written and spoken communication skills.

  • Proven experience with quality assurance.

  • Practical experience with digital PR and outreach.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent attention to detail. ? Ambitious and hardworking. Desired

  • Experience using SEO tools such as MOZ, Screaming Frog, Majestic, SEMrush etc.

  • An agency background.

  • Strategic experience with digital PR and outreach.
