Finance Manager/Senior Bookkeeper

We are looking for a part time, experienced Finance Manager/Senior Bookkeeper who’s pro-active and experienced in running the day to day finances for our small, but growing business.

You’ll need to be informal but professional, with a “can do” attitude to the following aspects of the role:

  • Sole responsibility for Day to day running of all aspects of the Finance Department, for 3 limited companies
  • Process and Payment of Supplier Invoices
  • Inter-company cross charging and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Control of sales ledger and credit control, raising invoices in 3 currencies
  • Regular debtor chasing and reporting to the Operations Director
  • Daily reconciliation of company bank accounts (3 currencies), managing cash flow and completing currency exchange as necessary, maximising on favourable rates where possible
  • Calculation of monthly sales commissions
  • Checking and input of staff expenses and company credit card
  • Produce monthly expense claims for the MD
  • Monthly payroll for 12 members of staff, including liaising with our accountants who manage payroll externally
  • Calculating staff holiday
  • Generate all journals, & run to trial balance
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including forecast projections
  • Annual budget setting
  • Scenario planning
  • All HMRC returns and payments, including monthly PAYE/NIC, quarterly VAT, EC Sales Lists and annual Corporation Tax
  • Presentation of annual company accounts to our accountants
  • Reconciling annual Company Accounts back to operating ledgers (SAGE)

Hours & Salary
Minimum of 18 hours a week, over 3 or 4 days, £30k-£35k FTE

£14400 - £16800 PA
