Hays Education is working closely with a large secondary school in Cornwall who are looking for a Geography Teacher to join their successful team. This school prides itself on delivering educational success and aims to get the best out of their students by following the most up to date academic curriculum.
Your new role
In your new role as a Teacher of Geography you will enjoy working within a supportive, tight-knit and successful Humanities Department teaching KS3/4. This is a long-term role and will be starting after the Easter half term in April 2019 and will last up until the end of the academic year. There is the prospect of being offered a permanent role but will be entirely down to the school and their recruitment needs.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed as a Geography Teacher at this school you must be committed and be willing to plan and prepare lessons. You will demonstrate extensive knowledge of the Geography specialism and be able to promote educational success to your students by encouraging them to meet and excel their target grades. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this role and you must be a Secondary specialist. Experience teaching integrated humanities is desirable. Non-Qualified Teachers will not be considered for this role.
