Location: The Water Meadows Swimming and Fitness Complex , Titchfield Park, Bath St, Mansfield NG18 1BA

Hours: 37 per week, flexibility to work evenings and at weekends is required.

Overview of the role

You will assist in the compliance of all aspects of centre operations with a particular focus on lifeguards, cleaning & housekeeping.

You will assist in the compliance of all aspects of health and safety within the Centre apart from technical statutory compliance; this will be achieved by ensuring there is a no compromise culture towards health and safety.
Provide support as required to the Facility Manager and fellow Heads of Department
Lead on and maintain a high level building presentation whilst on shift
Train and support fellow colleagues with all aspects of the daily operations of the building and utility efficiency savings
Support the technical Duty Manager to ensure safe pool plant operations
Assist in the provision of information, instruction, induction and training to all Operational staff ensure they fulfil their roles in an efficient and safe manner
Control and manage events such as accidents and emergencies and undertake follow up investigations as required within the centre
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies and procedures, e.g. as outlined within SMS
Maintain a high profile throughout the facility and respond positively to customer needs, expectations and comments
Be a key figure on Quest and ensure the centre is continually improving, with an aim of going beyond ‘Very Good’
Support the completion of the training matrix to ensure all staff are continually trained and re-inducted

Duties and responsibilities

Full Health & Safety Compliance
Lead on and monitor the team through high standards of customer care.
Improved and maintained building standards
Oversee the activity programme delivery and support where needed
Works alongside the Facility Manager to ensure the staffing and cost bases are managed and any over spends are agreed beforehand.
Carry out team one to ones & PDP’s.
Carry out team meetings.
Lead on and improve viewpoint engagement score of 65%+.
Deliver all essential training to all staff on site.
Ensure financial procedures are followed.
Lead on customer feedback process and manage in line with contract requirements.
Provide input to the sites business plans and responsible for their delivery

Essential / Desirable qualifications

First Aid at Work qualification including AED
Pool Plant Operators Qualification (PPO)
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
NPLQ Trainer Assessor
NVQ Level 3 Facility Management

FAW (or obtained within 3 months) - E
Pool Plant Operators (or obtained within 6 months) - E
Experience of managing a large front line team - E
Experience of large site operation and day to day activities – E
Systematic / organised approach – D
NVQ Level 3 Facility Management or similar discipline - D
NPLQ Trainer Assessor - D
Customer care qualification - D
