The role We are looking for a Client Services Director to lead our Manchester agency. Key responsibilities Leads the day-to-day relationship with the client and gives clear, decisive and thoughtful direction on individual projects. Liaises with client to discuss specific product/service to be marketed in detail and develops the most appropriate strategy to deliver the objectives. Leads development of short term project briefs and is highly involved in the longer-term brand/marketing planning. Defines target audience and implements strategy through appropriate media planning work. Thinks beyond the day-to-day to next 6 months and plans for longer term opportunities. Responsible for quality of output and efficiency of how account is run. Brings strategic insight to discussions and can refocus creative teams and clients with strong persuasion and negotiation skills. Evaluates campaign strategy in light of sales figures, surveys, etc. and takes appropriate corrective measures if necessary. Navigates through all the exciting innovation in the market to distil smart ideas of what the client could do beyond the day to day to make a different to their business . Stays abreast of changes in media, readership or viewing figures and advertising rates. Develops a strong one to one relationships with both SBM and Marketing directors – holds their own with senior stakeholders internally and externally. Leads the agency relationship with other agency partners and meets with them regularly. Understands social media and can help implement social media strategy for client brands Meets financial objectives as set by CEO. Identifies out of scope opportunities and negotiates project fees with clients where appropriate. Responsible for ensuring that agreed scope and fee align and will work with the team to adjust where needed. Strategic nous Smart, business-focused, brand thinker that owns and develops insightful strategies Advise and guide senior clients across the organisation – acting as a sounding board on business challenges Partner with the Strategic and Creative Leads to develop and evolve the strategy and creative Creative passion Drive strategically sound creative solutions Help drive ‘idea led’ creative solutions that reflect modern marketing Be a sound judge of creative work and have a desire to raise the bar on all briefs Provide leadership in the production process to ensure best in class delivery Client relationships  Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ business and the major factors and trends shaping their market(s) Build an excellent rapport with all clients based upon trust/mutual understanding Be the client’s first port of call for all issues and opportunities. Foresee any client issues/questions or internal resourcing issues before they arise Drive organic growth Operational skills Strong financial skills with focus on driving strong income and margin performance Ability to lead and liaise with other departments to set the Agency up for success on all projects Manage relationships with Joint Venture partners ( Williams Lea Tag) Own, manage and iterate the bespoke processes that drive the embedded &model (given these include multiple disciplines and aforementioned JV partners) Driving from the front Manage Account Directors, Managers and Execs to deliver projects on time, on budget and to the highest standard Grow and nurture direct reports providing coaching, guidance and inspiration Key Re quire ments Degree level education , specifically a Bachelor’s degree in a marketing related discipline IPA Commercial Certificate 10 + years experience in the advertising industry, of which the most recent experience should be in a similar sized advertising agency Integrated marketing experience with a particular focus on ATL, CRM and digital Must have held a similar management position in an advertising agency, such as Client Services Director or Head of Account Management Evidence of leading teams of 30+ Must have a thorough understanding and in-depth experience of the Broadband market and the challenges / opportunities for provider s of Broadband services Numerically minded and with strong commercial acumen Meticulous attention to detail Organised and methodical with excellent time management skills to manage tight deadlines Confident communicator – both written and verbal (including presentations) Competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Keynote
