Senior Cost Manager
A leading independent construction consultancy that offer cost & project management services to a long list of blue-chip clients across the country. The business has grown exponentially in the last 5 years and are now in a position whereby they have an established client base, 2 busy offices in the Midlands and a clear plan of growth which will take them well beyond the £5m turnover mark.
They offer their services across several market sectors including industrial, commercial, mixed-use & retail with project sizes up to £60m. They are currently looking to bolster their commercial team in line with growth plans.
The Role•Managing costs on various projects at different stages of their life-cycles.•Interaction with the internal and external project team to ensure that project and client objectives are met.•Lead processes including cost planning, benchmarking and value engineering. •Managing the procurement process including liaising with suppliers and taking action where necessary to promote a thorough and robust set of contract documents. •Implementing cost control techniques. •Weekly and monthly reporting ensuring that accurate and up to date information is being presented. •Undertaking site visits and meetings and advising on cost implications of project decisions.•Ensuring on site valuations are to a high standard. •Making cost checks and carrying out valuations.
