IT Technical Lead - Microsoft Technologies
Technical specialist with strong Microsoft technologies required for expanding company going through significant IT change.We are looking for an experienced person to join the a project team working on projects such as integration of newly acquired firms into the IT infrastructure, client facing automation and solutions, significant software upgrades and disaster recovery. The role will be working with the senior technical manager to understand, research, design and implement solutions to meet the business objectives and timetables. A thorough understanding of Microsoft technologies along with a desire and motivation to quickly learn new skills and logical thinking is essential.Responsibilities
- Research solutions, learn quickly and present options to management Agree and work to deadlinesInterface with other Senior Technical Specialist and other unit Team Leads to coordinate planning and execution of plans.Review and present new processes to senior team members.Conduct testing and verification of new processes before implementation. Implement changesTest and/or oversees testing of new hardware/software.Create documentation on new processes.
- Solid networking principal and all aspects of Exchange and Active Directory, GPOs, ADFS, Security, PKI, DNS, DHCP, routing/VPN/Firewalls etc) Design and migration experience from on premises Exchange to Office 365 (Hybrid, Staged and Cutover) - PowerShell (Exchange)Windows Server 2012 and aboveSupporting Microsoft SQL Server with clustering and writing SQL queriesWindows 7 and aboveSupporting Microsoft Office365/ADSystem Centre Configuration Manager Azure and Azure-Stack infrastructure AdminAmazon Web ServicesSupporting SANs SCOM (System Centre Operations Manager)Cloud management and orchestration platformsSkills in scripting / programming are a big bonus.
- Ability to plan, coordinate and (or) manage multiple medium to complex projects from initiation through to implementation, effectively and independently within time and resource constraints while taking into consideration your own and your co-worker’s workloads, shifting constraints, priorities and objectives as applicable.Ability to conduct fact finding investigations and research complex issues to gather pertinent facts, determine issues in dispute, draw conclusions and make recommendations.Ability to present information to a variety of audiences, responding appropriately to on-the-spot questions without pre-scripted responses while maintaining credibility and integrity.Ability to communicate effectively, clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, providing and obtaining information of a complex, technical or sensitive nature, while ensuring the communication is constructed logically, provided in a timely manner and conforms to the appropriate format and content for the audience.Ability to prepare, edit, and proof-read a variety of written materials including technical documentation, business and technical reports, quotations and business plans.
