Site Interface Piping Engineer
We have an opportunity for a SITE INTERFACE PIPING ENGINEER working in the Nuclear Industry in Cumbria
The successful Candidate will act as interface between the Site Construction Team and the Engineering Design team.
You will be responsible for liaison and coordination between the teams ensuring requests for information, TQs/PPs and general queries are dealt with in appropriate timescales.
It is envisaged that the Engineer will attend the Cumbria Site initially 3 days per week and 2 days being spent in Washington House for familiarisation with the project building to 5 days per week on the Cumbria site within 1 month of commencement.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE :
Coordinate the Piping Engineering input required by Construction
Review Construction Work Packages
Coordinate/Address TQs/PP/RFIs (Piping only)
Attend weekly construction meetings
Liaise with Sellafield Ltd Piping Site Construction team and Engineering Lead Engineers on regular basis to address any issues
Develop good Engineering/Construction relationships with all parties
Support prioritisation of advanced works and planning/scheduling thereof
ONC/HNC Mechanical Engineering
Piping Engineering background and knowledge of Sellafield procedures/requirements and ASME B31.3
Piping Design background
Good communication skills with ability to build strong relationships
10 years min Piping experience
Min 5 years Sellafield or Nuclear experience
Ability to demonstrate strong competence in resolving issues effectively
Capable of achieving the Sellafield Baseline Personnel Security Standard as a minimum with a view to obtaining SC once in post. Requires P4 pass to gain access to site
