Offering comprehensive in-house design, manufacture and installation services; Bridges Electrical Engineers Ltd., is a trusted high performance and multi-disciplined MEICA engineering technology company with an established and long-term client base. Today we work with a broad range of commercial and industrial clients in the water treatment, quarrying, nuclear and waste recycling sectors.

We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our Project Management team in Midsomer Norton.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

Management of staff and subcontractors working on your projects.Assist with controlling project expenditure costs to maximise profitabilityEnsuring project documentation is up to date and correctAttending site meetings and program planningUpdating the Project Manager & Commercial Department with information from the sitesMake decisions both small and large, in such a way that risk is controlled and uncertainty minimisedTo ensure personal health and safety and that of others in your charge and around you including report all accidents, incidents and near missesMinimising impact on & protection of the environmentManaging the completion of site installation work ensuring projects are on schedule and within budget, including:Organising, advising and supervising all personnel working on site and monitor productivity and output to maximise efficiencyOdering materials on time and within budgetTimely organisation of labourProduce method statements and risk assessments and ensure compliance by all personnel on siteEnsure all tools and equipment are on site when requiredAttend site meetings and deputise for the Project Manager as appropriateLiaising with customers and ensuring work is carried out to their specificationsRecording and reporting additional work on priced jobs for invoicingRequirementsTHE CANDIDATE

Experience in the Water and Waste industryExperience in a Project Engineer (or similar) roleRelevant electrical or mechanical qualificationsDesire to progress and succeed within the industryWe are willing to accept applications from candidates who do not have experience in the industry but do have a relevant degree or background that could be transferable to this roleBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR BRIDGES
