Assistant Finance Manager
Our client is an established business with modern offices based in St Neots.
They are now looking for someone to join their buy finance team working in a role that will provide day-to-day assistance to the Finance Manager.
Looking after four members of staff, the role will be extremely varied and duties will include;
Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
Completing cashflow forecasts for two companies
Interrogating financial data
Preparing cashbook receipts and payments spreadsheet
Assisting the Finance Manager with preparation of year-end schedules
Overseeing reporting of written off debt
Making and approving payments
Balance sheet reconciliations
Supporting team members and dealing with queries
Providing training and support to the team
Ad hoc duties
The successful candidate will have a 'can-do' personality and work ethic and will be someone who is well-versed in all-round accounts.
AAT qualified or equivalent, with relevant exposure to a similar role, you will have recent experience of staff management as this is an important part of the position.
In addition you will have the ability to prioritise your workload and work to challenging deadlines.
A background in the financial services sector would be a distinct advantage although not essential.
Above average Excel skills are very important and the ability to work with accounting systems equally key.
