We're looking for an experienced marketing research and insight manager with 2-6 years of experience in a marketing and consumer research (quantitative and qualitative research would be ideal) for a well-known consumer brand with it's Head office in central Bristol. This is a fixed-term contract until Christmas 2019 but they are a large organisation with a very large marketing team, so the likelihood of finding a longer-term role in the team there is fairly high.

The experience we need

- Market research background with some client-side experience
- Sound project management and analysis experience
- Deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative research techniques across the marketing mix with particular expertise in Comms and Brand.
- Ability to analyse the output of ad hoc research within a business context and provide recommendations to stakeholders on what action to take.
- Ability to synthesise a variety of sources to deliver joined up insight to increase impact and contextualise recommendations
- Excellent stakeholder management and consulting skills and the ability to see both the big picture and the detail.
- Ability to build close internal and external working relationships
- Ability to direct and manage market research agencies – ensuring that they are efficient, effective and meaningful and deliver insightful and business focused recommendations.
- Experience of managing a research budget would be beneficial – ensuring that market research spend delivers value for money to the business.

The role.

Reporting to and working with a Research Insights Manager you will be responsible for:

- Recommending and managing consumer and customer research into our brands and Comms
- Ensuring timely delivery of research within agreed budget
- Delivering insight based recommendations, primarily around the brand's campaigns to facilitate effective decision making and drive enhanced marketing outcomes
- Contributing to the development of enhanced market research programs to work in the new digital and data driven marketing era
- Building the capability and expertise levels in colleagues across the brand and marketing teams, to ensure they understand the implications of your research
