The school are looking for an excellent history practitioner who has the drive and passion for History and wants to share their knowledge to the young people of today. They must have an excellent understanding of both subject and general teaching pedagogy with inspiring the students to really engage and enjoy the subject. The History Teacher will demonstrate their commitment to raising attainment for all pupils in a challenging classroom environment. They must have the skills to tailor each lesson which will suit children of all abilities. The History teacher will need to plan and teach well- structured, differentiated lessons that are aligned to the agreed curriculum and cultivate every student’s intellectual curiosity and make the subject enjoyable for all.
You must be able to use and analyse data to help inform teaching and learning, identify areas for intervention and provide feedback to students, staff and families in order to promote progress and outcomes on the students learning. From this you must have strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students. In this History Teacher position, you will be joining the school's vibrant Humanities Department and will be responsible for teaching GCSE and A-Level students.
