Job Description You will be required to assist in the provision of a high quality out of school care service in line with Care Inspectorate Regulations and guidelines. You will have experience of working with children in a supervisory capacity and the ability to relate to children in a positive manner, together with a creative and enthusiastic approach. You will have a willingness to undertake further relevant training. SVQ Level II qualification in Playwork (or equivalent) and experience of working as part of a team is desirable as is food hygiene and first aid certificates. We are looking for dedicated staff members and when we find a candidate suitable we may be able to work with them in regards to the working time (for instance, put a smaller number of hours a week into contract for a person to work only mornings or only afternoons). Term time working hours Monday 07:30 - 09:00 and 13:45 - 18:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 07:30 - 09:00 and 15:00 - 18:00 Friday 07:30 - 9:00 and 14:00 - 18:00. During holidays and in-service days you will be required to work 24.75 hours per week over block shifts, Monday to Friday. You will be working in either Banchory Community Learning Centre or Hill of Banchory Family Centre. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
