What is the purpose of this role?

As part of our 120 strong Belfast Deign Hub, you will provide support and assistance to the team in all relevant aspects of service delivery to meet Client and Amey objectives.

You will play a part in providing Engineering Consultancy Services, from inception to completion, to Northern Ireland’s Department for Infrastructure; assisting in the delivery of DfI Roads & Rivers Programmes such as new carriageway alignments, flood defences and replacement bridges.

What will this role involve?

* Assisting and developing a knowledge base through in-team training on: Inspection work, feasibility studies, report preparation, cost estimating, Quality Assurance responsibilities

* Assist with contract preparation

* Preparing and assisting with drawing production

* Assisting with the preparation of technical documentation and reports

* Dealing with project related correspondence

* Maintaining high technical standards, consistent with the project brief under direction from the Senior Engineer

* Assisting the Network Team when required

* Assisting with compliance to the relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations Maintaining a strong focused client relationship

What are we looking for?

* Achieved or working towards, ONC/HNC/HND in AutoCAD or Engineering (or a similar approved qualification)

* Interest in AutoCAD

* Self-motivated and enthusiastic

* Good communication skills (both written and oral)

* Problem solving aptitude

* The following technical competencies should be achieved within 12 months of employment after receiving an appropriate level of training: IOSH Working Safely, Personal Track Safety AC (PTS AC) Environmental Awareness Tool Box Talk Personal Highways Safety
